Boyzone star Stephen Gately dies

Jesus Christ, the guy is not even cold and he is being compared to Jade Goody? I dont remember his last week of life being live on Living TV. It is very sad and sudden for his family, partner & friends. So what if he wasnt the greatest singer, let the guy rest in peace.

If it's on a forum, then it's up for discussion.

It has absolutely nothing to do with letting the guy rest in peace or not bud, just as was the case with Michael Jackson. What would be the point of 100 RIP posts?
The fact that you can look upon Jade Goody in that light, but ask that we don't discuss Gately is rather hypocritical wouldn't you say?

Well its only blasphemous if you believe in JC but thats a different argument altogether.

The circus that went with Jade Goody's death was ridiculous. I dont really get the Jackson comparison, the death of Michael Jackson was an era defining moment much in the same way as Cobain or Lennon. I dont understand the RIP threads myself. I have no connection with Stephen Gately or any member of Boyzone I dont understand peoples need to pontificate on the death or someone. He was born, sang a few songs and danced a bit, young girls liked to buy his records and see his shows, then he died. Awful for his family and friends & from what appears to be an horrible death.
