He's good, on MLS. I think his on the ball skills are very good. However his pace just can't get to anything. The midfield sent in a couple good unlocking passes and he got no where near them. Mexico all but ignored him becasue they new they'd make up any seperation. I'm often critical of Donovan and he had an average game at best but it wasn't his fault. He routienly got tripled teamed and a couple times Mexico had 4 players on him.

The only times Ching is effective is when the US plays hoof-ball.

Its time to put Altidore in. At least he has pace and gives the US another target man on corners. I think the Blues have proven that you could never have enough of players who could score off free kicks.

Is that a Xenosaga avatar? I can't tell.

Any "promising" American footballer I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

Sad to hear that. I think there has been and continue to be promising players from the US and not just goalies. Eventually, like in other sports the US will develop better Football players as time goes on. I'm not a huge fan of the MLS but time is on the side of the talent being produced over here. The young kids are playing this more than any sport at the moment give them 10 or so years and you could see a powerhouse forming.
