I prefer The Wire to Breaking Bad. Not arsed. (They are my top 2 all time like)

On the first season, finding it hard to get into really.

The Wire ****s all over Breaking Bad. That's no slight on it though. Breaking Bad is sensational. The Wire is just in its own, peerless plane.

Both do require a bit of patience and you need to pay attention in every episode. Oh so worth it though.

BB doesn't really work if you're forcing yourself to watch it, as it's all about implication and subtlety. Dread and suspense are fundamental to it, but they're always implemented in really discrete ways that manifest often as viewer paranoia, almost. I find myself getting caught up in it and thinking "oh God, this is going to happen isn't it?" or "no, no they wouldn't"... and you never really know what they will do. But you have to be gripped by it before you can enjoy it.

I never force myself to watch things, just for that reason. No point if you're not enjoying it. Gave it a couple of weeks and was better than ever. Think I feared it was not going to live up to previous series which would be understandable, given their quality.

Nothing can ever top the wire for me, but I'm loving breaking bad, just started series 3, its kinda strange though, im addicted to it, smashed two series out in a week an a half, but at the same time its almost hard watching for me, but brilliantly written.

On another note, I know there is a lot of hate for her, but I would love a good old go on Skyler
