So I asked my mates last night whats a good show to download and asked if Breaking Bad was any good.
They got a bit upset and said they had done nothing but talk about it for the last Year or so, clearly I wasnt listening.
So anyway, I got the 1st Season, near the end of Episode 2 atm, I gotta admit, it has yet to impress me, of course I will give it time.

I think Breaking Bad is on netflix, so you can sign up to a free 1 month trial and then watch it on your phone, computer or TV if you have a compatible device connected (PS3, Xbox, Wii for example). Might not cost you a penny!

My mate has been on me about this show for years. I know I should watch it, and know that I would enjoy it, but just haven't gotten around to it. I may order it on Netflix and try and get as much in this summer before footie starts again. Saturdays in Summer are a good time to just watch DVD's and catch up on stuff. That's how I got into "Rescue Me".

Over the summer most good TV stops as do videogame releases. I find this odd as the summer is when young people especially have more free time. I know people go on holiday and are often outdoors in the sun (or rain here...) but I still find it odd. And so yeah, for that reason the summers are when I catch up on all the shows and games I've missed, as the new stuff dries up.
Rescue Me was watched in the same way, actually.

Breaking Bad is one of my two favorite tv shows (Arrested Development being the other). It has some of the best acting I've ever seen and the writing of the show is excellent. Little details in early seasons can come back as huge details in later seasons. That's what I live about it. I definitely recommend watching the whole series if you haven't already. Can't wait for season 5.

Stuff like that is what separates the good from the great.
Personally I love shows that say a lot through a little, with a bit of nuance and subtlety. Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Wire stick out as three shows which excel at that, and that's a major reason as to why I fap over them so vigorously.

I've had this on blue ray since I first moved over to the us 3years ago and have been meaning to watch it. Its still in its cellophane wrapper though!
It's OK in the first two seasons. But all the hype that you hear is all to do with Season 3 + 4 where they just ramp the show up. They change their approach to the show dramatically in Season 3.
Last year after the season finale, a mate had a birthday party soon after but he hadn't seen the episode yet, so we all asked him to leave the room so we could talk about it... at his own bash!

I'm halfway through S3 on Netflix. Having heard from so many people about how good it was to find it online and streamable was a result.
What a show. Beautifully played, so understated and they're not afraid to completely frig around with viewer expectations. If there's a better character on TV than Saul Goodman at the moment, I'm yet to find them.

Season 5 starts July 15 here in the states. I can't wait as well.
And make sure you brace yourself for these last two episodes. They are pretty intense.

Cheers mate, I should be able to stream/download them when it airs in the states. I hate having to watch 1 episode a week but ah well. I've also heard that Season 5 is going to be split in half, with a break in the middle.
I watched the second to last episode before and it was gripping to say the least. I'll watch the last one before bed tonight.
