'Breaking News that nobody is interested in' ...

Just been inivited for a coffee by a girl I've fancied for ages. It's at work so no chance of Dutch courage beforehand. I'm a jibbering wreck. Could do with a nice bit of smack to calm me down

So is a second meeting on the cards?
Well I was one of about 30 people she invited as it's her birthday apparently. But it was a bit of a turn up that she invited me at all because we've only spoken once before and got as far as "Hi, how are you" and that was it. Literally once. There was no one else I knew there so was a bit awkward. But had a brief chat and then I'll drop her line in a day or 2 and see if she wants to meet up,

Keep us updated. Here's hoping a budding romance is on the cards.

I’ve just found out that the lyrics in Toto’s song ‘Africa’ aren’t what I thought they were.

I always thought the lyric “I bless the rains down in Africa” was “I guess it rains down in Africa”.

That is all.
I always thought the lyric "sure as Kilamanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti" was "sure as Kilamanjaro rises like a memphis above the Serengeti".
Similarly, when Kiss sang (in God of Thunder) "I was born on Olympus, to my father, a son", I always thought they said "I was born out of Memphis, to my father a son"

I've never been to Memphis...I should visit it one day.

This is a not totally uninteresting tale you're narrating. Please stay on-topic.

You probably thought the song ‘Walking in Olympus’ was called ‘Walking in Memphis’, too...

And you get St. Basil's Cathedral, Red Square, Moscow.

There is one issue though, it came up in the conversation that she has a very young kid. So I'm in 2 minds as to whether to try and discretely find out if she's even single, or whether to just go for it and if she's not single she'll say no. I'm swaying towards just going for it. The worst that can happen is she'll say no and that would be the end of it.

Sorry mate, this made me laugh a little bit!

One minute it was a romantic encounter where she revealed she had feelings for you, and the next you were sat 3 tables away from her drinking coffee and staring.
