Car insurance renewal day. Woo.

£450 a year down from £700. Not bad.

Looks like I might have to claim on it within the first week though FFS, which makes me feel like a fraudster.

*adds protected NCD on to policy*

Speaking of which, does anyone know how protected no claims works? I've got 8 years no claims, so say if I claimed on my insurance next week would I still have 9 years no claims for next year? Probably a daft question, but fortunately I've never had to claim on insurance until maybe now.

Just added my dad on to the policy and it dropped by £80. Waaahhhheeeeyyyy!

£380 now after I added my dad. I drive a 1.6 Focus but I've collected 9 points (oops), 3 of which will expire in a couple of months.

Got a quote on line for £600 last month, Rang up a week ago to renew and they said they wanted £900, Told them about the previous price so I gave them the ref number and they agreed to match it

Sent me a letter today to say they had made a mistake and the new price is £400

Beauts make it up as they go along

Hahaha, not bad that though!

Yeah they do, my cheapest quote is with Lloyds bank, which is handy as my bank account is with them, and between Confused.com and MoneySupermarket there's about £150 between the two prices!

I looked on Confused.com for a mate a few months ago . The price range went from £85 a year to £1200. Same car, same cover, different companies

Mental. Some of the quotes I had were about £2000. I mean, why even bother giving me a quote?

I'm happy anyway, my monthly insurance payments have just halved.

Cowboys lad

£600 then two weeks later £900, Same company

My premium went up by £100 three yrs ago . I thought "Sod that " . No claims or points . I jibbed off confused.com and looked on the actual insurance company web site. Put in car details etc . The quote I received was £70 LESS than what I'd paid the previous year . Same car
