They persisted for a bit though, it was a solid few minutes of play when they did it.

Yeah, I was watching it unfold as I thought it was a very strange and a random thing to do. The ball was either in play or Brentford took a very quick throw in, as soon as it went out for more than 5 seconds Tarkowski was shown on screen hurrying O'Brien to switch back, which tells me it wasn't planned and it was just a few minutes period in the game where the ball was in play constantly. Which is what was good about the game in general, a rarity in modern football that there were no unnecessary lengthy or even moderately lengthy stoppages. It was a good game of football.

i thought going into it, it would be one game to many... and i thought we looked leggy but we didn;t give up, we still created the better chances and it was a deserved point in the end against a decent side. The difference between this and Dyche's Everton are night and day.

Nothing to do with my dedication to the club, it’s “give your motm thread” I gave mine and the reasons, O’Brien is winning the vote but in my opinion that’s because of his goal not because he was the best player on the pitch.

To me. His head never went, as he would have gone hiding otherwise. At least he was getting/making the chances. which we have not had till Moyes came in really. His final chance is a brilliant save for me, and to me their keeper was MOTM

It shows the strength of character to keep putting himself in there... he has plenty of that.

The fact we can go away to a reasonable team, squad hammered with injuries including our best attacking player, not even play that great for large parts but be disappointed with a draw and realistically deserved all 3 points.... tells you everything about the turnaround Moyes has led.

Surprised at the MOTM votes. Alcaraz didn't stake enough of a claim for Doucoure's spot tbh and tonight was probably O'Brien's shakiest performance outside the goal.

The boys played well despite appearing to be down to fumes.

You could see the outline of a very competitive team with the likes of N’diaye, McNeill and others to come back and a few new players to be added in the summer.

It’ll be great to see N’diaye and Alcaraz in the same team.

Jack needs a bit of appreciation. His effort and work rate was again outstanding, his pressing constant and he never let his head go down. He's struggling for a goal for sure but you really can't knock how he's worked since DM returned.
