Benitez has to take the blame unfortunately. Yes, the usual suspects have been disgusting, but he's a paid football manager and should have known better with his team selection, so he takes the blame.

That went exactly as I thought. You can't play Iwobi and Rondon together. The problem is they're so bad you have no outball and no faith you can build an attack, so any and all possession is sideways across midfield.

Brentford have the advantage of a natural dangerous striker in Toney and they have willing runners from midfield and wide, even though the players themselves are limited.

If there's no change at half time, barring a miracle the game is already lost. At this point waiting 60 minutes is too late.
