Great result but that was a really hard watch. Aside from the penalty, was the terrible shot by Beto the only other shot we took in the whole game?

I only saw last 25 mins of first half and thought we looked good passing it around the pitch from back to front with confidence and people running for the ball, world away from Dycheball

Thought they were all over us second half but looking at the stats all they did is just shot from the halfway line. Both teams 1 on target, they had 4 blocked to our 0, and they had 11 off target. We had the higher xG. Deserved win then.

I have no idea how xG is calculated, but considering we had a penalty but our xG was still less than 1, it’s fair to say we didn’t look likely to score apart from that!

Still, fair result given that neither team really threatened apart from our deserved spot kick.

Yeah, I thought the first half was relatively comfortable. Not really sure what happened in the second. Maybe ran out of gas (or confidence)?

I saw on Toffee TV this week they'd get rid unless he'd take 30k p/w and I nearly did a double take to be honest.

He was head and shoulders the best midfielder on their today for both teams. As you say, he should just get another 1 year to help the transition. What a role model for the younger players too.

Yeah a pen is worth something like 0.8xG. More to Nymzees point though we kept them to only low quality chances
