Didn't we lose to teams far better than us in both cups?

Not saying tonight is good but it can happen

We did, but in both games we were deep into the second half with the scores level. United and City started with full strength teams and turned to a full strength bench. We started without most of our best players and had nothing off the bench, so we lost both games. We may have lost anyway, but we had a far better chance with our best players fit.
