Terrible first half but no different than 90% of the other games we have played this season.

We've been bad with Doucoure, but this is a different level of bad we're hitting now.

What do we all expect though? Our fastest players are essentially make shift fullbacks or in this case an unfamiliar Defensive midfielder. If you take the formation against Brighton at home, we're missing our "first choice" midfield which includes a poor Gomes.

Create the wall again, create a 4 man midfield with Coleman and digne on the wing and have James behind Richarlison.

Could be brilliant, could be drivel. Why not?

I'm not sure what the pundits are expecting.

Of course we are going to be struggling.
We struggle even when we have 2 or 3 others available.
Because the lack of quality extends beyond 2 or 3 other players.
We are not that good and need everybody fit to play the pretty stuff.
