Oviedo misses out on the World cup, rough google translation below.

Bryan Oviedo confirms that the world is lost.
Costa Rica's Bryan Oviedo lateral Teletica.com confirmed he will miss the World Cup Brazil 2014, that after receiving the medical report from Everton.

From England player received confirmed the news a few minutes ago, despite his effort will not come to Brazil World 2014, the recovery has not been as expected.

Confirmed in the last couple of minutes that he won't be able to go to the World Cup!!!

Absolutely gutted for him. Poor guy.

Unlucky for the lad. He's such a positive guy, though, he will bounce back and show everyone what they missed over the summer.

I firmed believe that when the next world cup rolls around in 2018 he will be firmly established as one of the best fullbacks in the world.

Shame for him especially as he seems such a nice lid. He'll be a real player for us in the coming years, his rise in status in the Everton squad this season has been meteoric.

I honestly didn't think he would play again after that horror leg break . So to recover so soon is amazing. He will obviously have the inevitable knock on injuries like hamstring and other muscle strained injuries when he actually starts playing again, so the World Cup is just too soon. Come back fresh and fit next season Brian as you were looking like a star in the making.

Gutted for the lad, but I guess a little pleased too, in a selfish way. He needs to be 100% for our next season, as I do honestly believe Baines will get playing time next to McCarthy, and so Oviedo should get game time.

OH NO FFS

Gutted for Bry, at least he's not rushing back. Work pre-season and I'm sure he'll have a cracking season to come for us!

Gutted for him as he's such a top bloke, but it can only be good news for us next season. If Barry doesn't sign on the dotted line I can see Roberto pushing Baines into defensive mid alongside James and Bryan coming in at left back, I reckon he rates him that highly that he struggles not to put him in the team.

Oviedo deserves going to WC, even go and sit on the sub match to watch his team (yeah he is injured but Oviedo is a big name in their squad).

OVIEDO BABYYYYYY

Very hard luck for Bry but he is young enough to get another WC. Big blow for Costa Rica to lose him.
