As a general design gripe, I think there should be a more clear division between posts (maybe like nth-child alternating background colors or something?), and a more natural hierarchy within posts. To me, at least, there seems a more clear division between userInfo and messageContent than between one post and the next. Maybe I just liked the previous look with userInfo (and possibly meta) at the top before each post.
When I look at each post, the userInfo section really stands out (which has advantages and disadvantages) and this box has a pointer that directs, like a speech bubble, to the post content. However, when something is quoted, this speech arrow points to a big flashy box containing a quote, and the post's actual content is sort of ingloriously tacked on beneath with the message meta. This could be addressed with something as simple as a lighter text colour or less striking background colour. I think you are right in not giving the messageText its own box like the userInfo and messageQuote, but the styling of quote boxes makes them look like the most important part of a post, which is not true. Also, hearkening back to the lack of division between posts, when scrolling quickly or otherwise glancing, the main vertical dividers on the page appear to be the instances of quotes, not of the faint little lines between posts.
Anyway, that's about it for the griping, there are loads of really cool things about this new GOT, but it's so much more entertaining to moan the petty inconveniences than it is to celebrate the expansive positives.
