Didn't Lautern go all the way down to 3.Liga at one stage?Hamburg, Hertha, Schalke, and Kaiserslautern all in the second division next term. And people wonder why Bayern romp to 11 in a row...

I don’t get why 3 go down from the Championship but 4 go down from League OneNot a fan of play offs. If you've finished clear 3rd in the Championship or Leagues 1 & 2 it's a crock of crap.
Same with relegation. If you've been total toilet enough to finish bottom 3, down you go.
Am sure this is how it’s was when play off first started in this country I remember Chelsea playing Middlesbrough in this way might be wrong memory is a bit foggyStuttgart looking to stay in Bundesliga 1 v Hamburg looking to get out of Bundesliga 2. First leg tonight.
Personally, I think we should adopt this for the third relegation/promotion slot from and to the PL.
Yeah, mystery to me too.I don’t get why 3 go down from the Championship but 4 go down from League One
Yup, in 2018. Back up to the zweite liga last term.Didn't Lautern go all the way down to 3.Liga at one stage?
It's how they do play offs in the AIL rugby here in Ireland, works well. 2nd 3rd and 4th from the lower division, and 2nd from bottom of higher division .Stuttgart looking to stay in Bundesliga 1 v Hamburg looking to get out of Bundesliga 2. First leg tonight.

Or just storm the field by the thousands before the last whistle as the dirty Düsseldorfer did against Hertha when the momentum was swinging heavily in the latters' favorThese relegation play offs almost always result in what we are seeing tonight: victory for the first division club. Only three times since 2009 has the second division club won. You need to be very much on the up if you are going to win this - as Union were in 2019.
Definitely a strong move toward devaluing the seasons results in favour of a mini tournament a la American football playoffs. Not quite the same thing but directionally accurate.I would do the same for the last place in the CL 4th-7th play off winner gets in and the other 3 in Europa league.
Better chance of the monopoly being broken at the top end.
Throw that Conference thing in the bin
Surprised they didn’t change the rules and do it this season for the RSI would do the same for the last place in the CL 4th-7th play off winner gets in and the other 3 in Europa league.

The Hamburg derby is an unreal experience and worth visiting one of them. Luckily enough to attend a derby at both grounds. I’ve been going over at least once a season to watch St. Pauli for the past 12 years or more and whoever they play it’s great. The whole second division is a boss league and so many even teams. Similar to the championship, it just takes one team to go on a run. Made up HSV stayed down because their fans are such scumbags. You’ve gotta be careful walking around Altona in any St. Pauli colours or you’ll be attacked. Seen people wearing St. Pauli hoodies been attacked around the reaperbahn too. It's how they do play offs in the AIL rugby here in Ireland, works well. 2nd 3rd and 4th from the lower division, and 2nd from bottom of higher division .
Not that unusual to see 4th place team win, possibly less expectation on them going into knock out stages.
Stutgart won it comfortably I see, I watch out for Hamburg's derby rivals, St Pauli, so good result for me !.
