But it is a results thing. If he wins this one and WH game 1 nil no one will care at the moment about the performance
I'd like us to actually fix things and not get a few decent results and think we've fixed things. Winning beats losing but playing well and winning is what we need to do at some point.

agree pal. Think a result Saturday no matter how its achieved is a must going into the international break. If we keep a clean sheet that is a start to a solid base to play from . Cant see that happening though!

He'll linger like a bad smell until at least christmas regardless of losing this imo

I fully agree, he will pick up the odd win or draw to keep ticking over, we’ve got some of the top teams to play so Moshiri will give him a free pass in those games.

Burnley is a game that always makes me nervous because they're good at the long ball game. Mina and Keane have to be on it.

This is how this game goes IMHO :-

Marco in his wisdom plays 4-2-3-1 (shock horror) from the start, the other manager won’t see that coming Marco smirks too himself!

The game kicks off :-

Burnley put big pressure on us for the first 15 minutes. We have a few scares, but the score stays at nil nil. We start to gain possession of the ball around 60% but lack any real penetration (Marcos missis understands that more than most) We whip endless crosses into the box but DCL forgets to move or grab his step ladders before the game. A few wild shots from a couple of Everton players but the only Burnley fans that are worried are the ones in row Z. (Duck)

5 minutes to go before half time, Burnley get a corner (you know what happens now) Pickford comes to punch the ball and accidentally sparks out a butterfly minding it’s own business. The ball cannons off the back of Keane’s 50p head and it’s one nil to Burnley...we love an own goal don’t we lads.

The whistle goes for half time... Burnley 1 Everton 0

Marco was a quick word with the boys at half time....keep doing the same lads, keep crossing the ball and maybe Digne might over hit one and it goes in by accident.

The second half begins:-

The same pattern of play emerges quickly in the second half....the boys in blue have lots of possession but find a wall of claret and blue to much to scale.

Marco sits in the dugout arms folded, thinking about where his local job centre is possibly located.

Burnley get bored of defending all of a sudden and decide to go on the offensive..the get a second corner (surely the can’t score again)

Marcos men get ready to mark thin air, as zonal marking from corners is the only option.

The ball comes in and blow me Mina try’s to head it away but Barnes who’s had a half mile run in on him jumps highest and plants it past Pickford to make it 2 nil to Burnley.

Marco springs into life...arms now unfolded he looks at his substitutes and thinks I know I’ll bring on Theo Walcott (Theo who is still seeing stars after the concussion last week) and take off Bernard, who’s been the best player so far cause that makes sense to nobody. Should I change formation he thinks, no not yet it hasn’t hit 70 minutes yet.

The game continues....Theo makes no difference at all because he’s chasing tweety birds around instead of the ball.

70 minutes hits and Marco goes sod it time for a tactical change...I’ll take off Digne and replace him with Kean and I’ll take off Coleman and go Iwobe and go 2-2-5-1 the players haven’t got a clue what to do or where even to stand.

85 minutes in and Burnley get a four on two situation....Pickford to his credit comes running off his line he’s fast of the line is young Jordon but unfortunately he gets a little too enthusiastic and is now 40 yards off his line. The Burnley striker quickly realises young Jordons mistake and chips him easily. 3 nil to Burnley

Marco looks devastated as the final whistle blows....he had £10 on Burnley to win 4 nil that’s just cost me £300 notes.

The board decide maybe Unsworth is worth giving a second chance as the U21 aren’t half bad.

THE END.......of Marco....... maybe!!

I am fed up with us going away from home and playing really defensively when why not give it a go to get all 3 points. I understand when you go away to the so called 'big six' it is different but going away to anyone else should be all out attack. When we had Koeman, Martinez and later years of Moyes we did quite well away from home but over the last year and a half or so we really lack creativity and play with fear. For me we should just go for it and I would have DCL and Kean up top.

The way we are going the concept of a "big six" is quite a few short; more like a "big twelve".
