We are on our own tomorrow everybody will want us to lose even Watford and Norwich.
If I was Lampard I would be drumming that into the players get the siege mentality going . If they have any professional pride surely there must be a part of them that says " stuff you all we are staying up"

COYB

Thats what scares me more than anything. As Peter Reid said the other day, they need to look at themselves and take responsibility.
To many here on big money and had it cushy. I wouldnt say they dont care. More its not the end of the world for them. Already set for life.
I'd try and get it into them they will be labled as the group of players that took Everton down for the first time in 71 years.
Anything, to try and get them run through that brick wall.

Despite how poor we are, Burnley are there to be got at. Hope Lampard has got some belief into the players so they can go there and dominate the game.

One of those matches where if we match them for effort, we should have too much for them. Not often that's the case but they are 4 points below us for a reason.

The fans always get bashed for being excessively hostile but theres also undying loyalty that perseveres especially with them always opting to watch so many excruciating performances. The fact the Burnley game is a relegation six pointer is a testament to that fact.

Dennis Stevens scores Everton’s first goal against Burnley in this League Division One match played at Goodison Park, Liverpool on the 15th December 1962.

I’d prefer.....

Someone else
Someone else - Someone else - Someone else - Someone else
Someone else - someone else - someone else
Someone else - Someone else - Someone else
Too defensive. Plus someone else and someone else have shown they can't play in the same team. Someone else coming in for Keane is an interesting shout. Are they as good at own goals though?

"Burnley are crap but unlike the delicate flowers of Everton FC, they're a bunch of bruisers with experience in relegation scraps. We're going down for sure." -- Winston Churchill

How would you feel about a draw?

You can view it two ways, I supose:

1/ only 3 points will do because we are desperate to get ourselves within touching distance of 30 points ASAP, and Burnley will be one of the weakest opponents we face.

2/ a draw will be acceptable because our away form is so FUBAR it would be seen as a step forward AND neutralise Burnley's attempts to get clear of the bottom three themselves - and in one of their easier games (yes, that's us!).

A defeat will see us completely demoralised and just waiting to be taken to the cleaners on Saturday.

I expect nothing any more.

The bar is set so low, a point at Burnley would me a good result for us.

That’s where we are at.

Desperate for a point at Burnley and Watford so we can stay ahead of them and out of the bottom 3.

Whatever collection of misfits he puts out tomorrow night is probably not going to even be good enough to achieve that.
