My uncle was a Lib Dem county councilor for years. Drove himself off a cliff around the Dorset/Devon border because reasons.
A proper Tory would have sold that cliff to a PPI and sent the proceeds to a hedge fund.
No idea what Labour on the south coast would look like because I've never been to Plymouth, except for the time I did and got into trouble in a pool club which was nothing to do with me.
Syndo-anarchist, in case you're wondering. Lib Dems are the very worst, they would be surprised when blindfolded and pushed against a wall, the Tories would at least accept it.

Jokes aside, From personal experience and particularly from working at the university I found a number of them to be particularly narrow minded and snobby towards people who are , shall we say not from the more desirable places to live.
Being a lad from the city centre I admit their demeanours were tedious at times and when it came to politics I switched off as the verbal echoing sonnets for the likes of Hague, Ingham I found nauseating.

Because, ultimately, the whole politics thing is just a distraction that the bourgeois have devised to keep us from scrapping over the only thing that truly matters in the account of man.

I do think we’re heading or deep into a dangerous place however with culture wars invoked, politics weaponised and polarisation of society as bad as can be remembered. Our ability to have discussion with opposing views and for concession are paramount for a progressive society. There’s too much of the word hate banded around for even arbitrary things and no one seems willing to change their mind or compromise on their well defined stance that they attach their identity to.
It’s the like of Murdoch and Bannon I’d be going after, and their filthy rich paymasters, be it person or company. Wouldn’t it be nice to have selfless compassionate role models?
