Can we finish in the top 4?

Whenever I log into my Telegraph Fantasy Football account there are four player pictured at the top of the page. They are, left to right (or 1-4 if you like) Hazard, Rooney, Aguero and Bale. I assume that's what the Telegraph assumed the top four will be. Interestingly, when I opened an email I got an email from TFF this morning, the pictures are of Aguero, Rooney, Hazard and Jelavic.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Haha. Repped cause I'm a Fantasy Football nerd.

Oh, and I also think West Brom shouldn't be underestimated. They play good football and we'll have a game on our hands next weekend.

City without Aguero for a month.
United missing Rooney for the same amount of time.
Arsenal can't score.
Spurs struggling.
RS leaky defensively.

If we can get as many wins as possible before October we could give ourselves a good head start.

only 2 games. You have to go back to 2011 when we failed to score first 2 games with rvp in the team:P

Just to put this thought out there, but what sort of storyline do you think would come up if both us and Swansea were 4-0-0 going into our game with them in a little bit?

It'll be a spin on "El Clasico".

Coincidentally, Swansea's new home kit looks like Real Madrid's and our away kit is a Barcelona rip off.

it was always going to be hard with teams like man u,city, chelsea, arsenal and spurs but now i fear it will be impossible now that liverpool are going to run away with the league title after their draw at home against city.

I believe it's possible. But it will need luck to avoid injuries. Our first 11, can beat anyone.
We have a couple of decent back up players, but no where near enough strength in depth.

I'm positive so we will finish in the top 4.....heck, we'll win the league ;)

The trick to maintain this belief is to work on match day :p

Can we finish 1st?

We've already finished fourth in my lifetime, I'd love to see an improvement before I'm done with it.

lol I bet one point tastes real nice right now.

I am more optimistic that this could be a possibility. On the assumption that City, Utd and Chelsea with take the top 3, then then here's what I thnk after the transfer window

Arsenal....significantly weaker and could struggle to make top 6
RS...weaker...big issues in striking dept
Newcastle...pretty much same as last season, but now they dont surprise anyone and they lose their best players to the african nations cup
Spurs...unknown quantity now..signed some good players but lost good players and jury is out on AVB
Everton...the last 2 transfer windows have been inspired from Moyes. We even have cover now when pienaar goes to african nations and if Jelly gets an injury

I think it's between us and spurs for 4th spot

we just need to keep progressing, with fifa fair play coming in, less and less money will be spent (which we have been doing for years), we got away with not selling a star this season and next season the tv money will mean our income will be greater than our outgoings, we have nailed this at the right time in terms of budgetting imo, this time next year i think we will add again and then we will see.

for me the top 3 sorts itself out and then 4th is between newcastle, arsenal, spurs, RS and chelsea b)

I think Arsenal will improve.

Giroud and Podolski are really good players, they just need to find their feet and imo it won't take them too long before they do.

They'll still suffer from their dodgy defense and lack of combativeness in midfield though, which should make them lose a fair few points over the course of the season.

I dunno who'll get 4th spot but I think it's going to be a massive scrap, involving the clubs people are mentioning.
