No.

But it was Boxing Day against Luton and Heath scored twice. I was about 8 years old so I reckon it was 1989 or thereabouts?

I haven't read the whole thread so apologies if someone else has already replied, but is this it?

My first match, 1966 night game at Goodison, Brazil versus Portugal, my dad didnt usef to take to to the games bakc then as i was only 8 and he used to have a bevvie after the game, but he made an exception for this one as he said that if i live to be 100 years old, i'll never see the two players (Pele and Eusabio) equalled! Although i became a massive fan of Cruyff, i cant argue with his sentiments! So he blagged me in via the turnstiles, and i got to see Pele, Jairzinho (still my favourite player from that team) Denilson and Santos, and of course Eusabio, possibly the most elegant player i ever saw :). I couldnt even tell you who my first Everton match was againt, i am ashamed to say :(
