Is there not an argument though that if it's legalised it can be regulated in terms of THC levels etc to lower the risk of it causing mental health issues?

I do agree with you there. There are pros and cons but to be honest its hardly well regulated at the moment it effectively feels legal. There would possibly still be similar issues if it were made legal about impure cannabis as some people are looking for that variant.

I would disagree but different strokes for different folks. But both cause problems, yes. If I have a beer however, the vicinity doesn't then stink of pot for ages.

But each to their own. I don't mind people smoking weed, I just don't want to smell it.

Equally dangerous to drive under the influence of, though.
I would disagree. Ale stinks. People stink of it the day after. I don't want to smell that.

The driving thing is nonsense too. Perfectly capable of driving after 4,5,6,7 etc spliffs. All day, every day. Try it after 2 or 3 pints. Research into drink driving is already well established. Haven't seen any headline of a huge increase in potheads mowing down pedestrians and the like since all this super evil skunk became common place.

I certainly will not.

To me, saying "I can drive after 4 joints" is the same as someone saying "I can drive after 3 pints"? You think you're fine, but you're not.

You do know police are starting to do roadside swabs for this?

If someone mowed a friend of yours down and was found to have been under the influence of weed, would you honestly not think that was a factor?

why would it?

When someone smokes pot in a public place, you can tell.

I'm not against people smoking weed, I just don't want to myself. Fill your boots, just don't make me smell it, that's all.

Used to drink. Wouldn't dream of driving after one pint, never mind more, as I know my judgement, balance, reaction times etc are severely affected.
Smoke daily. Drive daily. Driving, or my ability to, isn't an issue.

When someone drinks in a public place you can tell. Usually the smell of stale piss is a dead giveaway. You can smell ale on somebody who has had a drink.
I'm not against people drinking.

I'm just not sanctimonious enough to pass judgement.

You'll find drink drivers say the same.

I'm not passing judgement on people simply smoking the stuff, nor am I suggesting people who smoke smell of stale piss.

They do however, smell of pot. I'm not against people smoking pot.

I'm not judging you on smoking it, you seem to think I am. I drink moderately, I don't stink of stale piss, as you say. Suggesting so, is surely being just as sanctimonious as you say I am?

I like the smell of weed tbh... Quite sweet..

Unless he is a complete whopper and not totally out of his brains the average driver would actually drive more carefully after smoking in my experience.

Not speaking from personal experience of course. *cough*

Drinkers smell of drink.
I never said drinkers smell of piss. The places they frequent, and pass/piss through do. I never said you stink of piss, as you say. You will however smell of drink if you've had one.

This is fact. NOT me being sanctimonious.
