Can't write posts from Windows Phones

Awesome, lid.
I realize there's not much GOT itself can do about this, as it may be dependent on the forum software, but you can't post on here with a Windows Phone.

Everything renders fine and you can read everything with no issue, but when you go to write a post the virtual keyboard refuses to stay up when you place the cursor in the window. So effectively, GOT was "read-only" for me all vacation since I didn't bring a computer or tablet with me. :C

I have a Lumia 920 personally, but I'm guessing this applies to all WP8 devices since the browser software is identical across all of 'em.

Hi, Tech Support here.

If you could perform a hard reset on your phone, thus clearing all your photos, contacts and other valuable private information I believe this will go some way towards fixing your issue.

Secondly if you could remove the battery from the phone, place a pan of water on the cooker and bring to the boil, place the battery into the pan for no more than 2 minutes, then place the battery (still boiling, this is key) back into the phone and switch on.

If this does not work, buy something other than a windows phone as they are utter garbage.

If you go to settings in Internet Explorer on the phone and change to desktop version, does that help?

Thanks mate - this is a big'un for us so we'll need to fix it.

Without having a windows phone it's difficult to resolve.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately I also have a windows phone and cannot post any more. I blame Microsoft. [Poor language removed].

I could post some of the pictures I've taken with my phone or some of the videos I've taken with crystal clear sound at loud concerts, but that would take work and you probably wouldn't care anyway :P

You could just buy a smartphone that works, and take a camera to the concert with you :unsure:
