Terry was enemy number one. Unsettled everything before and during the tournament.

In all my years of watching football England has always put a sparkle in my eye. But this WC they have been atrocious. The FA has to address this issue head on as something needs to be changed in the team makeup and training regiment. I've heard the length of season to be a issue I concur somewhat but the lack of passion and drive was missing throughout these games.

I personally think we should stick with him. I honestly don't think he's stupid. He's obviously seen something he likes in training and it just didnt come off in the games. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I think the players were so bad today that it didnt matter what formation or who played where we still wouldnt have won that game. The lack of effort was appalling. Do think he should have bought Crouch and Lennon on as opposed to Heskinator and SWP though.

But yeah, have a meeting. Work out where it went wrong. Come back for the qualifiers.

You speak nothing but the truth. Hesk was the best player against USA and didnt do much wrong in the other games. Defo needed something different v. Germany though and dont think he should have been brought on to try and change the game.

To apply that logic, you'd need to attempt to discount the trophies Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard and co have collected...

If were keeping Capello after his mastakes which are:

Takin Carrager,King,Terry,Upson and trying to get Scholes in.
Playin Lampard, and then putting Gerrard on the left, when Gerrard performs better then Lamps in every England game.
Refusing to play the best formation and players in their right postions. Not playing Crouch when his record for England is incredable.
Refusing to drop players who under perform.
His English is crap.

What he should do if he staying is this:

Drop Lampard,Upson and a few others and start matches with the likes of Dawson,Jags,Walcott,Lennon.
Rebuild the team spirit by removing Terry
As for lovin him after the qualifers, well look who we played, Azerbijarn, an old Croatia, an a bunch of teams that we should well out play.

Well the FA says lets ponder on this for two weeks. Also, just heard a 12 million buy out instituted a mere few weeks before the WC.
Sounding like Gordon Brown selling all the Crowns gold at the very bottom. You just can't make this stuff up. These are the guys in charge and we still wonder how or why these geniuses hold their position.

I noticed Harry staking a claim just in case. For 6 million I would too Harry.

England need to prioritise. Pick one or two main players, and have players that compliment them. Not fcuking putting Gerrard on the left to incorporate Lampard.

Absolutely makes sense. They play a lot better for club than country. I have the same comments on the US thread. France are the same way pound for pound they are awesome but put the egos together disaster. I guarantee a complete study will be made on this phenomenon. The deadwood will be let go no matter how much they make or what name is on the back of his shirt.

James, Carragher, Johnson, Upson, Barry and Heskey are very good?

There's the problem, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Cole & Terry are very good but they make up less than half of the first team mate. And lets face it, they don't perform very good on the international stage really.

Reason being as you said at Club they have better support around them and they play their correct position. This will change after this WC only way to go and that's up.

Capello's gonna stay it looks like. Its not all his fault. These players have NEVER performed for England. 2 quater finals and a last 16 isn't good enought for these players. There simply not good enought and don't care enought and all but Rooney need binning as he still young.
