Carlo Ancelotti suing Everton?!!

Did Bobby Martinez threaten or actually end up taking us to court?

Seem to recall some issues with his compo too. Maybe I dreamed it.

Anyway, it's a sharp business top end footie. I'm not surprised.
"Roberto Martinez's sacking cost Everton more than £10million.

The new Belgium boss invoked a clause in his Everton contract when he was sacked, which demanded that he be paid the remaining three years of his deal.

That added up to almost £12m, but after an independent hearing in London both parties agreed on a figure between £10m and £11m.

With Everton also having to pay Southampton £5m in compensation to acquire the services of Ronald Koeman, their switch of managers this summer has cost the club more than £15m."

Pretty big leap, that.

Even if there was some usmanov payment, do you really think they'd put it in a contract?

It is likely to be something related to image rights and there have been loads of cases like that over the years.

Nothing to see here.
If it were image rights, it'd be settled before setting a hight court hearing.
You'd think...
but maybe you're right.
I've no idea with this board.

Carlo might have a silver tongue but it doesn’t mean he isn’t a snake. I’ll wait to see the facts before taking sides on this one.

He got his move to Madrid, he got another European Cup, he’ll have made a lot of money doing it, what more could he want?
I’m sure he wants what he’s legally and contractually entitled to. Not sure how you could act like he’s a snake. The contract was there and he had every right to leave. Also the club is an absolute basket case, even if Madrid hadn’t come he’d have probably resigned on his own principles sometime that season.

Taking our views as fans away it’s very clear that Everton Football Club is a scummy institution filled with liars, cheats, corruption and greed. If this wasn’t the football club I loved and supported I’d happily see us get every sanction, fine and punishment that we so surely deserve, especially considering how some players and managers have been treated.

Make no mistake, Carlo is not the “bad guy” in this scenario, in fact I would say based on current reputation we are the most vile club in world football, not run by a nation. As fans, we don’t deserve any of this however aside from that, as a club we absolutely deserve the worst with how we’ve operated.

Yeah, no wonder we're up a certain creek without a paddle.

We paid him £14m to finish 12th in the league

How much coffee can one man drink?

yeah,
It's time for harsh truths.

12th yeah, he also had us like second at Christmas and the coward players gave up for the second half of the season. The fact of the matter is we’ve barely survived relegation based on other teams being more crap than us each year since he’s left with much the same squad.

12th was a miracle finish given all the circumstances.

He had us 4th in march when he agreed to join Madrid.
where he went on to win the champions league straight away.

I cant believe some of our fans still dont think he did a good job.
Yep. We were only a handful of points from Europe despite finishing 11th. 31 points from relegation.
