You aren't convinced that a multiple league , European cup, trophy winning manager is the right appointment?

Given that this is the club that has won nothing in 24 years , just stepped out a relegation battle after 350 million spent , sacked 3 managers in 6 years , hired Sam allardyce and Sammy Lee .....

So what is the right appointment then? If a manager who is a perennial winner is the wrong one?

Mate, I’m delighted. Ancelotti is a big appointment and it’s terrific to have him at the club - all I’m saying is that this isn’t his usual project.

It’s the very fact he is a perennial winner that raises a question for me. To deliver the success he’s had, he’s worked with perennial winners. Top international players from back to front. The best of everything. We don’t have that.

He’s undoubtedly a quality manager with an amazing track record, it will be interesting to see how he adapts that experience to suit a very different situation here, we’re unlike anything he’s ever had before.
