To score more goals. Jurgen is my friend. I have a good relationship with him. I had the luck to beat him last season and then they won the competition. In Napoli it was the same but we were able to do great performance. If we want to beat Liverpool we have to do a great performance - normal performance everyone knows is not enough. Everything has to be perfect - no mistakes, work hard, scarfifice, intensity. If we want to beat them the game has to be complete
On his impact on the players and player praise
I think that I found a fantastic spirit in the team. I know that in this moment the players need to adapt. I ask them a lot of things, maybe for some players it’s new things. I have to be patient and the players have to adapt to the new things that I put in every game. It’s a little adaptation, I understand this. The fact that they try to do something new on the pitch for me is important. I don’t want to change a lot because I don’t want to put confusion in there head.
I am happy that the players are happy. I am here only to do my best. Everyone one of us has the same goal
We can't defend for 90 minutes
Everyone knows how Liverpool plays, it’s a fantastic team. Fantastic counter-attack, in transition - you have to do a perfect game. You cannot defend 90 minutes and we do not want to defend 90 minutes. We want to have the possibility to play our football.
On intensive festive schedule
The schedule is so intensive. To play every two days is more difficult but we were unlucky because we played on 26 and 28 and we didn’t have a problem. Usually when a new manager it’s usual to say the physical condition is not good. I found it really good. There are some injuries that affect us, Gomes and Gbmain that could help us to be better but in general the physical condition is really good

Dam, I worry about what Everton are going to do to this fella. Could shatter him after a year or two of us bottling big games. Could see him walking. Getting leathered by local rivals 5 games straight and going out of every cup when the pressure is on. He doesnt know the meaning of humiliation. Well didn’t.

Too many of our team play with fear. They won’t and can’t change and ultimately that’s why they aren’t good enough for Everton and must be removed ASAP. Apart from anything else, they affect the younger players.
More than anything it needs 11 players stepping out at Anfield and really looking forward to it, wanting to hand Liverpool a thrashing.
Ancelotti has that mindset. Many of the senior players don’t.

Ancelotti is definitely a boss manager and our future is bright but we are going to need to be patient and he just doesn't have the tools i.e players required yet to be beating the likes of the RS. Even the better quality players in his team have got weak and cowardly mentalities and consistency issues.
Just imaging to myself though how boss it would be if he managed to do what we haven't been able to do so since 2010. Miraculous.
No harm in fantasising, it is going to happen at some point in the future for sure with this fella in charge once he has built his winning squad.

Got a feeling we’ll start well and also think they’ll drop Van Dijk, Alisson, Salah, Mane, Firmino, Henderson, Robertson and Alexander-Arnold, playing the likes of Adrian, Milner, Lallana, Minamino 4 or 5 of their kids.

I've been supporting Everton for 30 years and I don't think I've ever seen us do anything fairly comfortably, nevermind winning at Anfield.
