Poor shape from CA. Too defensive and gave up all possession in midfield. This against their B team/U-23. To be fair, if we had put away the first half chances it wouldn’t be so bad but the longer we played, the more confidence they had
There B team beat us 5-2 that was there u23s

What was he thinking with a midfield duo of Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin against a bunch of youngsters full of energy? He got that very, very wrong today.

He doesn’t know their lineup earlier than we do. But Carlo will see enough of these players.

He’s probably thinking that two international footballers valued at 70 million combined wouldn’t just give up the second they crossed the white line. Ancelloti is learning lessons that he’ll have never had to experience before dealing with these charlatans. They’ll do just enough in training and then get their manager fired at the weekend for fun. They’ve ruined the careers of Koeman and Silva. Allardyce ironically was the only one who saw through fakes like Schneiderlin.

We got no one there.

Sigurdsson, Delph, Schneiderlin and Davies.

Gomes and Gbamin are injured.

Will just buy Rabiot or even another CM.

Id rather have seen Davies starting mate.

Out of the the other options at least he gets stuck in and doesn’t go missing like that fraud Sigurdsson who’s more worried about his hair spray falling out of place.

That's even worse then! If he thought that midfield would have stood up to their senior side then it would of been an issue.

I think the one concern I had today, was how we didn't change the style of play once. It was Plan A or the highway.

I trust Carlo.

We have deadwoods left over by Martinez, Koeman, Sam and Silva.

Carlo will make this right we must back our manager.
Oh yes, I just don’t know if taking a Louis Van Gaal-like wrecking ball to the squad will be the way to do it. Gradual change is better I think

Would question the tactics today.

Going two up top and a flat four in the middle against a manager famous for playing football between the lines was a bad call.

Our first team played against a bunch of 19 year olds who have never played in a full competitive match as a collective.

We should've been able to play any system and get a result.

Whatever the formation, the players have to put in a shift. They didn’t and they let him and us down

He can't polish a turd. He's only just arrived at the club and had to initially at least trust the senior and "bigger" players. I said all along that this season was a write off from the second we lost to Leicester in the league cup. All the Don can do for the rest of the season is squeeze as much quality from this joke of a side as he can and hopefully play a few kids. He needs to take an axe to this side in the summer (I'm obviously taking about a metaphorical one but I'd be delighted if he used a real one!). Lots of work to be done and the Don needs the clubs and us as fans backing him to get us there.

No. Hiding.

Fully expect a cull.
How is there going to be a cull though? I fully agree, that's what's needed. Koeman and Brands have ripped the heart out of this club. But how do we 'cull' their signings?

This will take half a decade...half a decade to get over spending £500M.
