It’s over these cowards. Finally have a man in here they can’t undermine and we won’t turn on.

Bizarre to see them stroking the ball around today when they couldn’t even find a pass against Liverpool’s kids. They know the game is up and unless they start performing they’ll be out in the summer.

Will be interesting to see what happens if we get near a place in Europe and there’s crunch games in the second half of the season. These players are great at winning games at home when the pressure is off and they’ve already botched the whole season. The derby, away games at top grounds, and any crunch games to get into the top 7 will be the true test of whether Carlo has changed anything or if this group of spineless cowards are again just trying to play themselves from not being sold in the summer.

Bottlers. So pleased we got this bloke in. There is no room for these players to wiggle anymore, they get on with it and perform or they're out. Beside the rs game, which was a complete disgrace, we turned the corner since Silva left but we are not out of the woods with the likes of schneiderlin, sigurdsson and Keane around the team. I think the long term future looks good with CA in charge but he needs backing by the board. Clear as day hes got the backing of the fans so hope that continues. I

Better get used to his subs. Ambrosini or Brocchi for Kaka when Milan were leading was his trademark move ;)

Not bothered by this, better than Silva leaving us wide open for sucker punch after sucker punch. If we haven’t killed a game off and we’re firing and under pressure then showing up the team to keep hold of the win is sensible. Too many fans are scarred by the Moyes days of him bringing on an extra centreback and us inviting teams on so we inevitably conceded. That’s very different to making a tactical sub to solidify the team.

Subs were dodgy, but only because we hadn't put our chances away to kill the game earlier.

Clearly there is still lots of work to do on the training ground mind you.

I thinkwhen Delph came on he could see that we need more in the middle. Also probs thought we would never get a second goal so wanted more defensive stability

He's a very adept in game manager. Constant tweaks of the side going on formations, direction, personnel etc. More than any manager I remember for us. Ultimately though he will need better players to maximise his in game ability. I think he will actually like Holgate for his versatility and to a degree even Davies who can play a couple of roles.

We gave 1 big chance to Brighton today, when we were visibly shattered, but the cause was Davies losing the ball cheaply high up the pitch. Tom has to get that out of his game.
