We all knew whats on his CV, but im sure most of us are shocked at the turnaround so quickly.

Baby steps yet tho, of course it hasnt all been plain sailing, but so far we are in a nice position to salvage something meaningful from this season.

The squad is far from perfect, so I will be very surprised if we can get 4th, but with our ability to pick up results who knows?

In Carlo we trust, forever.

I was happy Ancelotti came here. We needed to get out of the bottom. I wanted safety, and he’s done that. Next year I want to see him rebuild this team. I’m already satisfied.

The other thing is... I do reckon Carlo will give us a better chance of holding onto the likes of Richarlison.

IF we’d appointed Moyes, even if only for 6 months, 100% he’d be off in the summer, either not wanting to play under Moyes or not being a***d with another managerial chance.

Takes a lot more for a young, still developing player to walk away from someone with Ancelotti’s CV
I think you make a good point here. We are more likely to attract quality players who might want to be managed by someone who has managed many of the greats. I think that’s an important element in having Ancelotti here at Everton.

It'll be interesting to see what happens at Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs away, where historically (under many managers) we've been unable to get a victory.

If he can be the one to start to dismantle our voodoo at those grounds, I feel that we could really start pushing on because fixtures at home do not worry me.

Especially young players with top level potential...as he's already alluded to. It takes more than a manager to be upwardly mobile enough to pull it all off, though. Managers like him do provide you with a clear focus, which is big...there's no grey area.

If all goes well he retires here, on top, with the sort of totality Ferguson had attached to himself at United...with the added bonus of a clear successor, since he's just not going to have the same amount of time to put in but certainly enough to call it quits having pulled off a complete and successful encore. That's the dream, anyhow.
