I hope to god he ends the trophy drought. Major jealousy watching Arsenal have ‘bad’ seasons and still winning the FA Cup. I hope we just go all out for the league cup and FA Cup next season. Get ourselves back into the position we were in towards the end of Moyes period/start of Martinez when we were getting to semi finals. Need to be giving ourselves an opportunity most seasons and then in one of them you might either get a lucky draw or put in a great performance. Can’t just keep leaving it to one or two games every decade.

Completely take your point, but in the last decade cup finalists have included Birmingham City, Portsmouth, Wigan, Swansea, Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Stoke, Watford, Hull, Aston Villa, Bradford City, Sunderland, Southampton.
Granted most of them didn’t win, but equally most of them aren’t even in the premier league any more.l, it’s an utter utter disgrace that we’re not even in this list. Even if you expanded that to semi finals, we’d only have two FA Cup semis and a league cup. It’s utterly shambolic. Even Villa have made two cup finals in the last decade. Our players and managers have been complete and utter disgrace for throwing trophy opportunities away year after year after year.
