He's not really built a dynasty anywhere else and he's up against teams with more resources than him in this league. Look where we are as a club and have been for the last few years, if he gets us being competitive for European places that should be an achievement we should be happy with.

It's the most difficult job of his career. That can't be downplayed.
We have very good players, just been badly managed all season and had no midfield, Rich can score and DCL suddenly found his shooting boots. Carlo has already said he going to change his game and get him more in the box then running the channels.
Once Kean gets a goal we have 3 players all capable of double figures this season.

We played 4-2-3-1 and it’s simple does not suit our players. Today we played 4-4-2 then switched to 4-3-3 got the goal and switched back

Really good start and really looking forward to what hes going to do in the transfer market. We finally have a manager who can get us back where we belong rather than some relegation fodder fool who'll spent our money on dross.

It will be really interesting to see who in our squad he improves.

Really interesting system today, amazing to see how positive we can play with 5 at the back (of sorts) compared to previous managers that have employed the same system.
Bernard in number 10 with sig dropping back a bit looks shrewd. Also keeping the two up top is really great to see and helping DCL loads.
He'll need another centre back I feel, especially a top class one, if hes to play this system on a consistent basis.
It was interesting to see how they were so compact at the back when defending (very obvious when a goal-kick), but would almost flex out into a wider system.

I also felt it gave the midfield two, who were already showing more tenacity, more space to move and run into, especially on the turn, which helped our overall play.

We know that Delph and Gylfi aren't the most mobile or agile, so the space enabled them a bit more freedom to play; Sidibé and Bernard had a lot of space too.

In one game, he has shown an adaptability and tactical awareness that would make all of our previous three managers blush, so let's hope it stays like this.

Watching the match yesterday and listening to the gaffer after the game made me breathe a huge sigh of relief. There’s something calming about Don Carlo at the helm, I don’t feel angry anymore about the decisions that are made, trust me I’ve talked to my shrink about some of Silva’s decisions this season.

who would have thought at the start of this season we would be in this situation? However, it’s exciting and it’s a fine time for the Mosh to make this appointment. There is only the RS that aren’t in a transition period, we currently have a better manager than Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United which in itself must be some sort of boost to the players. So I hope that Mosh and Brands give Don Carlo the players to make this step up and grasp this massive opportunity.
I’ve written off this season, I don’t expect us to progress to the next round of the cup but then again this group of players owe us big time and with Silva out of the picture let’s hope we don’t roll over and get dry bummed again at the pit.
I’ll be 40 very soon, I’ve seen us win trophies, I’ve seen real world class players in the royal blue jersey and I’m dreaming of silverware just for the sake of the current generation of Evertonians.
Please turn up and give us back some pride on the 5th of January and start 2020 off as we mean to go on.
Anyone got a song for Carlo yet?

Headline in a Burnley rag today "New Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti pays Burnley a big compliment" all he said was that they defended well. There is also Coverage from all over the world on his first game, It's great to have a manager in that commands so much respect from everyone in football, even Klopp is showing respect. never seen headlines like that about our managers before. Hopefully it will help us on the field too and get a few more 50/50 decisions the refs will be well aware that if Carlo makes comments about poor ref decision it will make world headlines and be analysed to death, no way we would have been denied the penalty against Spurs if Carlo was in then.
