Fair point, it’s even worse then isn’t it - does Carlo talk to Brands? Why didn’t we get shot and replace with someone that Carlo would actually play or thought could do a job? Instead we’ve let Kean go and handicapped Carlo further by keeping players that we know he doesn’t want to play - even when we had the chance to get them out. Mad.

Who is for definite coming in for these players? And what were the deals being proposed? And did the players agree to the moves?

Just as we don't have a divine right to 3 points at either Southampton & Newcastle we don't have a divine right for other clubs to take unwanted players off our hands and for wages not to be an issue.

We didn’t collapse. At all. They scored a pen (which was a debatable one) and their second was against the run of play.

People need perspective. We struggled with a load out. Southampton showed again today they are a decent side but we were still missing players and James clearly wasn’t fit.

We won’t have 5 first teamers out again all season. Let’s wait til that happens to everyone else shall we.
We utterly folded when the chips were down against Southampton and Newcastle - two very ordinary sides. In a league where we are supposed to be chasing down the big six, we were asked to turn up and dig something out against two mediocre sides and...we were found out. Except, we weren't really found out. We did what we've done at these places for years now. Nothing.

The only perspective we need is to recognise that we will have injuries and suspensions. If our better players like Richarlison and Digne are as brain dead as they have been recently, we will regularly be missing the only players we have that make a difference for us in this league. 9th or 10th it is.

Ok mate we’ll finish 9th or 10th.

Explain how intense training sessions changes today?
Btw. We are 3rd from the top. Not 3rd from bottom.

We played with a lack of intensity, it was the same against Southampton. You train without intensity and inevitably you play without intensity. At Bayern the players arranged their own additional training sessions because Carlo's were too easy. Gattuso dropped Allan because he was strolling around in training, Carlo then signed him.

Our players simply aren't fit enough and have been outworked in the last three League games.

It’s on him but with previous managers I’d expect them to try the same thing again against Man U. Carlo won’t do that again.

Do you think we'll go higher? Honestly? We'd need a very fair wind to do that. If we somehow keep James, Allan, Digne, Richarlison, DCL, and Doucoure on the pitch together for 20-25 games this season, maybe we can. My honest opinion is we will do well to have that six together 15 times this term and the lower that figure the lower our finish will be. We have next to nothing to come in behind them as is evident by now. January could make a big difference for us if Ancelotti's contact list comes up trumps.

True but the point the guy made was that in Bernard’s case we did have an offer. It’s different if we’re just stuck and nobody’s coming in for our overpaid duffers, you’re right we don’t have a divine right for other clubs to take them off our hands.

In terms of who was coming in, none of us are privy to that info. Assuming Carlo made Brands aware of his feelings about Bernard well in advance of the end of the season, we had a long time to look at replacements - that’s Brands job. Instead he let Kean go on loan without replacing him and turned down a bid for Bernard who the manager is so reluctant to play it’s pointless having him. That sounds mad to me.
