And even on that, despite the crap footy at times, I felt if we got 3/4 years of Carlo, we'd get to a final and win. Then with that 80 million tonne weight lifted from us, we'd be in a much healthier place for a younger, hungrier coach with fresh ideas to come in.

I didn't mind the footy in regards to it being pragmatic. I minded that it was just, in a lot of games, very very poor even taking into account the resources (or lack of) that he had at his disposal. There was no evidence that we were improving but the hope was better players - that he could help attract as we saw last year - would improve that.

The best thing that could come of this is that all those calling out Ancelotti's weaknesses / perceived inability tobuild a team / need for a different style of manager are proved correct.

Said ot before, just move on, cross our fingers the next appointment is the right one and we buy well on the playing side.
