It's easy to forget that this is a new experience for Ancelotti too. He'll be learning also. Every club he's been successful at, he's arrived with a squad capable already of competing at the highest level. Working with the best players, he's proven himself to be a master and one of the greatest managers in the game.
He needs time, deserves time and will get time. But the club have shown ambition in bringing him in and backing him with James, Doucoure and Allan, so he must also show signs that the team is moving in the right direction soon.
But to your second comment, isn't it a managers job to motivate, unite a squad, ensure they are committed and organised, at least. It's fair to criticize.

I agree, there is no way anyone should be talking about sacking. He is a great manager and deserves time. The team is still only a few positions away from where it needs to be at the end of the season.The idea of him being sacked this season, barring a full blown relegation battle, is ludicrous.
Yes he can obviously do better, but this squad would let down any manager. They lack commitment and quality.
