I think very few people think the top 4 is realistic, but we have expectations of the top 8. It is still possible, but we have taken 5 points in the last 7 games. In the next matches we will meet much stronger opponents, and the outcome of these matches will define the season. Ancelotti is under pressure and will have to deliver in the next matches.
Moshiri wants top 4 and Ancelotti is on 10mil a season.
He’s not here to finish 8th. He will get a free pass probably this season, but next season he had to deliver.

You being serious. This does not make sense. The point is judge him after he has done the job for at least 3/4 years, see where we are then, of course players will have come and gone, thats football
Yes I’m being serious. You’d have to be pretty daft to look at what we’ve done and think it’s a long term plan to be honest. It’s very obvious that we’ve tried to accelerate the process, everything from Ancelotti being hired to us signing a load of players in their late 20s makes it abundantly clear. If we’re not expecting to see results for 4 years we should be playing Gordon, nkounkou, branthwaite and kean now, so that they can learn and improve, and we shouldn’t have spent a fortune on players who won’t be here in 4 years time. I have no doubt whatsoever that we were expecting a top 6 challenge this year.

Simms only experience is playing against lower league cloggers for the U23s in the EFL Trophy, it’s a much different level going straight into a Premier League game

We’ve done it for years, see the likes of Vaughan, Anichebe, Pennington, Chadwick, Cadamarteri, Jeffers and so on. Hell Barkley is the biggest example, hyped up to hell, doing fairly well in the first team but soon as he made a few errors it turned toxic very quickly
How does simms show his "experience" then? Do tell...

We sit 9th now as it stands, we could have went joint 4th with a win today. We could sit around 15th by the end of the month if we don't buck our ideas up. I might avoid football this month if I want to have a happy christmas. I love dishing out the christmas cheer...
