Other clubs’ fans going on about our defensive weaknesses and completely forgetting our best defender is out injured.

The thing is though only for 10-15 minutes against WBA did we really struggle defensively in some capacity, that was down to poor positioning and giving the ball away cheaply. Other than that no team has really bombarded us with shots on our own goal. Palace definitely had more of the ball yesterday but yet they still didn’t force Pickford into any saves or get any shots off on target, in terms of our defenders defending and doing their jobs properly they did a good job.

Also I think a lot of teams are going to struggle against Palace this season, trying to keep Zaha quiet (which we did) and limit Eze and Townsend is a very big task, ask Man Utd last weekend at Old Trafford.

Disregard any of the cup games as we haven’t been playing our usual starting 11 and both errors were Pickfords fault.

It’s one thing for Carlo to come here on his own, but it’s another for him to put his reputation and friendships on the line and other blokes careers on the line and ask them to come to Everton.

It’s the equivalent of asking someone to go to Real Sociedad or Parma.

Not really, we are in the top 20 clubs in the world in terms of income and we are spending like a top 10 club. We may have been dysfunctional but he was obviously given assurances that we would continue to spend and seeing we had Richarlison, Gomes, Digne and a raw talent in DCL it wasn't all bad. If you think if you bring in 3 great players in one season you have a nucleus of 7 decent players then appeal to Carlo and to any new players coming in is clear.

They only beat Tottenham (Go on to smash Southampton at their own ground)

They only beat West Brom (Go on to get a point against record spending Chelsea)

They only beat Crystal Palace (Who smashed Man Utd at Old Trafford last week)

Wouldnt let it bother you mate - opposition fans will always do that - heck I saw some on here call Leicester lucky when they were 2nd/3rd around December.

Hopefully we keep going about our business quietly - Brightons a massive game in that they look very good going forward but quite open at the back - if we get our tactics right we should be getting 3 points at home.

Aye, even as fans we talked about 15+ goal a season strikers like their hen's teeth. Carlo just strolls into the interview area and says DCL and Richy should score 20 each like it was nothing

If I was the manager I'd be re-evaluating that figure, DCL only needs 15 and Richarlison 17 more goals and we haven't played 10% of the games yet. Tell them 30 or they're out Carlo. :D

This fella has been operating at the top of every league he’s been in for decades, sitting where we are now is the norm for him.
Him demanding 20 goals from them is possible if they listen and learn from him. Not a bad start though is it.

The difference in mindset is huge, even when Palace scored today there wasn't an immediate panic. He can completely change the mindset of our club.
If we went a goal down under any manager after moyes then you could not see us getting any sort of result. Like West Brom last week and palace yesterday, if they score then you still feel we will go on and get a good result.

The difference a manager who believes in his own ability and knows how to make the players feel a million dollars. Also what I'm getting from Seamus(and I could be way off so please tell me) it doesn't seem that professionalism and pride have been at the club for a good while, Ancelotti is a name that demands respect and he demands the players act professional. I think that's made a huge difference in attitude this season.

I know a lot of people hate stats, but in 3 games we’ve conceded 3 “big chances” and have an “expected goals conceded” of 1.89.

Expected to concede less than 2 goals from Spurs (A), West Brom (H), Palace (A). Our defence is strong, Carlo has got them drilled well.

Honestly if we had a great keeper and got a bit of luck with injuries top 4 would be a serious possibility.
