The thing is that Carlo chose to go with him as backup RB for this season behind Coleman, if he does'nt rate him then why not sell him or loan him as Shalke wanted him back for this season.

Getting 3 new signings over the line seemed to take ages in itself. The first team still needs work let alone the back ups.
Losing both first team fullbacks is a bit of a kick in the teeth.
Schalke is prob his level tbh. They are abysmal.

He's been injured.

Why is this being forgotton. He's literally been out for over a month and they said he wasn't ready yet a game or two ago. JJK may not be top standard but if you think CA is putting Delph, Davies or Iwobi in at full back/wing back ahead of him like it's some personal vendetta you are suerly going to be mistaken.

Tbf Carlo had not seen him until the summer as he was midway through his loan so it made sense to keep hold, the chances he had early season he didn’t impress so I would expect we will either use Godfrey and Holgate as duel cover for Seamus and send Kenny out either on loan or permanently next month

This can definitely not be true. Most professional managers analyze the club thoroughly before taking over, and have a full overview. They do this continuously. I am surprised if Ancelotti has not analyzed JK through video analyzes, data analyzes, and obtained references. If not, I'm shocked, and one can ask questions about how professional he is.

Video analysis is nothing compared to working with a player up close, which Ancelotti hadn’t until late July/early August
