This is very a very worrying statement from Carlo. Reaffirms my belief that we have no plan B.

“the pressure they put really high on our centre-backs meant we didn't have the opportunity to use possession to create opportunities”

He did that after Newcastle etc.

Sometimes you have to just call a spade, a spade.

A gutless performance like that should be condemned, not excused.

Tiredness?

Honestly...

As bad as Jurgen blaming the wind or cold feet.

He did, but you soon lose the dressing room if you keep doing it.

I dont even think it was lack of effort, or tiredness. The set up was just all wrong, and it was only made worse through the game.

We rarely create much, apart from the United and Spurs game, we maybe have two shots on target and that is not an exaggeration.

I know our away form is the opposite but getting beaten at home by four lesser teams this season is a worrying sign. Something must be done to rectify.

Well it's probably aimed at Holgate and Godfrey who've probably been lobbying to play centre half, and won't be doing so again.

So basically he’s either admitting his team is rubbish and don’t know how to react to that style of play, or, his tactics were weak and he doesn’t know how to set us up against that style of play.

Again, the Newcastle game was a learning curve and we took absolutely nothing out of it. Not good enough. Imagine being an opposition manager listening to those comments, pre game tactics already sorted.

Guess all the lesser teams came to Goodson and beat us used more or less the same set of tactics. Press high with energy and go hard in tackles.

Of course tiredness isn’t a factor in this result, just like it wasn’t in Man U or Spurs games this weekend. The common denominator, 120 high intensity minutes of cup tie football in midweek. Maybe Carlo is right, what a shock that would be, one of the top managers in football knowing more about what the problem was than some lads on the internet.
