Cruising against Leeds and still decided we needed to camp inside our penalty area for the whole second half. We are an extremely negative team.
I don't think that's what happened though, is it?
We conceded an early goal in the second half because of a defensive cock up and then Leeds - one of the most mental teams going - pinned us back for 15 minutes or so.
Once we got through that spell we managed to get back on the front foot (Richarlison had a great run and shot that got us up the pitch).
I don't think it was a tactical thing to sit back. It was just Leeds pushing everything at us and us defending, by and large, very well.
You've picked a pretty bad example, because in that game, like v Wolves and most of our away games, there was clearly a plan.
The issue is when he seems to chuck players on the pitch and expect them to just do stuff. Our players aren't good enough for that. And the few that are get bogged down trying to do it all, or in James' case, haven't got the legs to get on the ball deep and run with it to take us up the pitch. That's where the main issues come from.
Also, back to the Leeds game, we could easily have won that 4-1. Had a blatant pen not given and Dom missed a sitter.
