Im not sure why wins in the calendar year 2021 is relevant.

As for home games, it’s a duff statistic. We all know why.
It’s relevant because it’s our most recent form, obviously. And home games will make up 50% of our remaining fixtures, including one of the ones against villa that the post specifically mentioned us winning. So not a great post really, Bren.

Bare In mind we beat arsenal and Chelsea when they were playing terrible, Lampard got sacked not long after and people were calling for Arteta to be sacked, who were the others Wolves who have been awful for most this season. Those wins weren’t as good as they looked.

Leicester (Away) - Allan went off after 35 mins. Probs our most complete performance since October.
Arsenal
Sheff Utd
Wolves

We won those games, losing to West Ham, in the immediate aftermath of Allan's injury.

Our issues against poorer teams is that we're too open in a bid to be more creative, yet we don't manage to be creative. Maybe Allan will help that.

Not saying we should get anyone in yet. Those previous managers were unable to alleviate death spirals and paid for it.
Ancelloti isnt there yet

Well dodged.

Again, who would you get in.

All those managers were clueless. Who isn’t clueless that would join us and propel us to our rightful success.

Personally I’m astounded we haven’t won the league with Tom Davies and Iwobi. It’s an outrage.

I’ve just looked it up in the league we have beaten Arsenal (at there lowest point) Sheff Utd, Wolves and Leeds since losing Allan, I won’t even mention who we have lost to it’s just to depressing. We miss Allan a lot I mean ALOT.

We had a really bad run of form with him being a regular. I agree he improves the team but it's short sighted to think he turns everything around.

Pretty much answered yourself in your 1st point just emphasises the drop off in quality from our 1st choice.

Last point , think where we'd be without results agst ( who we have a dismal record agst ) Spurs , Liverpool ,Man utd , Chelsea ,Arsenal , Leicester ,Wolves even Spurs in the cup.

Possitives outway the negatives resoundly.
Imagine when he has another window or 2.

But you counter that by having a system - a way of creating chances. That doesn't mean a formation, it means alternate ways of attacking.

We don't have that.

We're set plays or get it to Digne. Either relies on the ball being perfect.

The only exception is a moment of magic from James, or as we saw v Spurs, when we actually get runners into the area, but that leaves us wide open at the other end apparently.

It shouldn't be too much to expect the right balance, mate.

Its not just a personnel issue, its more a mentality and intensity issue.

The manager can only do so much and the players take most of the responsibility. They are allowing another season to unravel and are showing nowhere near enough commitment.

Ancelotti will only hang around so long with these players who pick and choose when they fancy turning up.

Do you really believe players pick and choose when they turn up ? Far more likely they are just inconsistent, hence why they play for Everton and not a top side.

He’s actively indulging some of these players though, like Sigurdsson who he’s essentially made club captain and plays every game. People thinking Ancelotti is gonna rip this squad apart in the summer are in for a short sharp shock in my opinion.

It’s an arbitrary cut off point. Wins “in 2021” is meaningless. Convenient to cut off December where we didn’t lose a league game.

Funny how you’ve picked up on his home record but not his away record. 7 wins from 11 games, btw. Best away record we’ve ever had in the premier league. Weird you didn’t mention that. :)

Our issue against poorer teams is how bad we are at acting like the better team. We don't have a clue what to do. I thought they would've been the games James thrives in but he rarely touches the ball.

I hope if we swap Allan for Davies that'll change. Getting a grip of the midfield is what those kind of games are all about.

Yes I believe there are issues with effort and attitude. If the attitude is right then we dont see a repeat of the Newcastle game when we play Fulham.

Intensity is our biggest issue right now and that is a mentality issue. The tiredness talk just gives these players an excuse too.

But management do play a part in that.

Carlo set the tone for the intensity - or lack of - the other day by lobbing James, Gylfi and Gomes in the same area of the pitch against Fulham.

so one game their attitude is spot on and then a few days later they have magically developed a bad attitude ?

thats not how real life works, they are just inconsistent like the vast majority of footballers outside the elite

I’ll put it to you another way

you have issues with certain parts of this season, have your own ideas how things should be done and have regularly stated that your way is right and Carlos is wrong on various topics.

why do you think he is doing what he is doing when it comes to these perceived failures.....and, do you think he will be doing the same things next season?

I don't think anybody is questioning stuff that Carlo has done well.

But it's fair to say we should be better at a fair bit of stuff that we're really, really crap at. That isn't good enough.

We know the players aren't great/consistent enough, but - less chances than Newcastle. You can't keep relying on moments all of the time. We need to start seeing some proper, sustained attacks. Some variety in our play. All that can be done without leaving us totally exposed at the back, mate. That isn't too much to ask.
