That brought tears to my eyes. Mariachis were big part of my childhood, since i was a Chicago suburbanite kid, but then my mom moved us to Mexico for about 4 years (we would go back and forth for a year on, year off). I remember being in the jardin in the town were we lived and just being mesmerized by them. Mariachi are now so popular they are basically a stereotyped cliché of Mexico, but I simply love them!! Good on you!

Awwww, I'm glad that it brought you good memories. TBF I had tears on my eyes earlier too. This type of traditions are among the things that I miss the most from our culture. Here in Asheville it is almost imposible to have such experiences regularly.

How come you moved to Mexico as a child? Is your mom a Latina?

No, my parents just wanted their kids to experience a different culture for a bit, and once we got to the town where we were only supposed to stay for like 9 months (San Miguel de Allende), my mom fell in love with it, so we kept going back. My mom was a 1st generation American born to Hungarian parents, so no connection to Mexico.

Thanks for sharing. Your parents did well by giving you that experience. With my hubby we have thought about moving to Colombia for a year to offer similar experience to our daughter but then Covid happened so for now we have postponed it for a while.

I posted this earlier on the James thread but it seems he may be returning soon. James participated in a live stream through the platform Twitch by playing Call of Duty Warzone with gamer Flexz. When asked about his return, he assured that he is very close to playing with Everton again."No, I'm fine now ... In a few days I'll be playing"

I really look forward to have him back at the team.
