tbh it could've been my fault, I snipped 4 or 5 cable ties to get access to other stuffThat looks like a wire that's let some of its smoke out!
Gets hot after several minutes, the remaining insulation becomes pliant and allows a short to ground. Wrap some tape around it short term, to keep the smoke in and see if the engine runs longer.

I put it up again yesterday and they offered £8305I've got a 10 year old mondeo Titanium,econetic diesel, leather seats, sat nav, parking sensors, heated seats and best of all no road tax.
Had it 6 years no problems bar usual wear and tear.
I put it on webuyanycar last year for curiosity and was offered £7000
