I still miss my little mate who i got as a kitten when i was still at school in the late 90's, she lived to be 17 and we had to put her sleep at the end of 2015.

Got 2 sisters as kittens at the end of 2016 and unfortunately one got a tumour in her hip and only lived about 2 years, the other one is a moron who's still here annoying everyone (she's alright really)

Sorry to hear that @Prevenger17, i can remember you saying how she stuck by your side when you were ill.

Cheers mate. Give your annoying cat a big hug for me, they need it from time to time even if they don't want it

This is my wee mate, Finlay. Had him since he was 10 weeks old. He turns 18 in May. Still a very healthy and active cat. One slight issue that affects older cats. Appetite. Hes shed all his bulk, and he was a Unit back in his prime. Now he always is asking for food. I just have to give him dry food by the tablespoon so he feels hes satisfied then give him his wet food twice sometimes three times a day.

Downside is he’s turned into a thief. So now my household is running like:

If its in the fridge or cupboards the kids eat it
Food on Worktops is the cats

The usual things made to make a middle-aged man weep. Nothing is mine anymore.

Cat no2. 7 year old Bella.

She eats whatever the older cat Finlay doesn’t as well as her own food and I suspect a neighbour is feeding her. She is HUGE. Complete knee breaker.

Sweet wee thing with a very high pitched cry. Loves a radiator and a cushion. Proper wee woman.

Mr. Binx... He followed my brother and his mate home from the pub one Friday evening after they had been pounding the booze.

He woke up the next morning with a hangover from hell a little kitten on his bed! lol

I phoned all the local vet's in the area to see if anyone reported a missing kitty, and after a week no takers, so I took him off my brothers hands, and now he's my best mate! Thanks to covid, I still work from home 3-4 days a week, and this little bugger chills with me all day long.

Kind of like my feline PA. If it was possible to teach cats basic bookkeeping skills, he'd be perfect!

Cats are ace, whoever started this thread is obviously extremely handsome.

Unfortunately I haven't seen Binbag in about many months now and I miss her dearly.

Very caring feline, had a weird habit of legging into the living room head butting into my hand if I hung it over the side of the couch.

Never scratched or bit (unless my hand got in the way of a toy).

As a dog man I never appreciated how affectionate cats could be.

Agreed mate. Growing up, we had a couple of cats who were the most unaffectionate little tits ever.
They would only pitch up around dinner time to get fed, and then they'd bugger off again.
So after that I was a staunch dog person for a very long time, I never bothered with cats... Ie, I was of the notion 'Dogs rule, cats drool!'

Then a while back my mar got another cat... Lulu, if I can find a pic, I'll post it. The most vocal little thing you'll ever meet! And character as well!
Every time I visit my mar, I get a lecture: Meow meow meow! As in, Where the hell have you been? This is unacceptable! Etc... lol

Only to get smothered with affection. That's why I decided to take a chance on Mr. Binx.

I miss having a feisty cat kicking off on the other side of the bathroom door whilst I'm treating myself to a hungover sit down wee, y'know?

Shame mate. That's a hard one. Take your time before you get a new kitty... You'll know when the time is right.

I read somewhere that if a cat follows you into the bathroom, it's because they really care about you! In the wilderness, they are at their most vulnerable to being attacked when they're taking a wee or dropping a log. So the reason they follow you is because they want to protect you and get your back!
