Which are better, cats or dogs?

I love 'em both, but cats win hands down in my view (apart from when you wake up and find one has puked on the carpet).

Dogs for their loyalty & utter reliance on you, cats for their independence. I grew up in a house with 1 of each so know the good & bad things about both of them.

Just depends on what you're looking for from a pet, if you want something that begs to be walked, is always in the mood for some interaction, that will chase a ball around a field with you for hours on end & needs you to pick up it's [Poor language removed] - get a dog. If you want something that just needs to be fed, let out & combed occasionally - get a cat.

Dogs are spiffing, not that i dislike cats, but an ex of mine put me off the idea of having a cat when i saw her's walking on a worktop where food is prepared, put me right off.

Welcome to my world, Vim. Our three get everywhere. We even caught the old tabby (part wildcat, we believe) wiping her arse on the worktop. She had a turd sticking out and this was the sensible way to remove it, in her eyes. :@

Dogs by a mile.

I've got two Jack Russell's.

What are they like together? We've got one and I'm trying to convince me dad to get another because I reckon they'd be quality playing tgether an stuff. He doesn't agree with much I say though

And yet you still manage to happily tuck into a peanut butter sandwich ? You're a braver man than i :D

They have one fight a week, the rest of the time they get on with each other.:D

We got ours as a pair though, they had lived with each other with there previous owners so they are used to each other.

Definately dogs, althoug I have absolutely nothing against cats. Even my dog doesn't mind them. It's an almost six year old pug dog and as long any living creature lets him sleep, he's allright with it.:D

Mate, those pug dogs are really cute. (y)
Try having eight at once:lol: We used to breed pugs, and also had two cats,we got into breeding by accident, the adults where her sisters and when she broke up with her partner she took it badly so the wife and I went to stay there for a few weeks ,anyhow when we were going she asked the wife who had fell in love with them to take them as they where a reminder of her ex.what none of us knew the female was pregnant,so we ended up with 8 ,6 pups which needed feeding every three hours.according to the Vet we did well not to lose any.and the parents eventually we sold 4 pups and gave family the other two and then let them breed once a year for the next 2 years than made sure it didn't happen again before that we always kept two dogs and usually 2 cats the dogs where always a German shep and a jack Russell they were always great together,
