Some live quietly and keep their mouths shut. Others are very vocal on social and political matters.

No matter your politics, views or lifestyle there's a celebrity for you. From Gary Lineker's left wing leanings, to Laurence Fox's culture wars saturated position, to Paltrow and her magic vaginal egg products, and more lately Mark Rylance's position on covid vaccines, We get the whole gamut.

But should people in this position be so loud or given such a powerful platform? No matter one's views or politics surely there's a danger in people often not particularly well qualified in much having so much potential sway*? Or is there a potential for good?

I don't thinkk we do get the whole range of political opinion to be honest. Are there really that many right wing celebriities who state their allegiances loud and proud? I can't think of many.

I promote freedom of speech for everyone but also that people should strive to have awareness for how impressionable and far-reaching said speech might be.

Sadly most celebs are dumb.

I dont care about celebs, never have done, but everybody has a voice these days and it's kind of annoying!

I've no idea really. I can't find much about Le Tissier and Sol Campbell as suggested. I know John Cleese is fairly right wing and he is usualy open to debating his opinions; that's a trait you won't normally find in right wingers. They're scared to debate openly most of the time.

No they are not scared to debate them. They show them all too often, they are just too embarrased to admit that they are horrific people.

We are living in right wing times anyway, they dont have to debate them as they are becoming the norm.

Not people who are well known because of their politics.
