I was driving up to Palm Beach the other day for a shoot, and lo and behold, who with grey hair flying out in all directions, abit of a gormless look on his face, and behind the wheel of his jet black Porsche Cayenne, was none other than Billy Connelly!

I wasnt as star struck as an 18 year old when Ellory Hanley came up to my counter at Woolies and asked me where the bath plugs were, but I called people up I knew where behind me in the convoy to tell them!

So what famous stars have you seen about?

I live in Republican vacationland so unless you count GOP politicos no. Saw Newt Gingrich in a supermarket. Also sort of saw Cheney and Rumsfield through the endless secret service eating at an outdoor resturant, they supposedly don't tip very well and a few more insignificant ones.

Other than that one of my friends dated Keifer Sutherland when he was in D.C. filming some movie (The Senintel?) for a couple weeks about 3 years ago.

We saw David Dimbleby at Toronto airport this summer.

We were waiting at the car rental place and he walked past us towards the terminal

When I was in Cornwall a few weeks ago I was on Watergate Bay beach and there was a huge gathering. It turns out they were filming a series called echo beach starring Jason Donovan, Martine Mccutcheon and Susie Amy. We were trying to spot them all day from the beach but couldnt really see anything.

We went for lunch at the watergate bay hotel and low and behold in walked Jase, Martine and Suz. They sat right next to us and were really nice apart from Jason Donovan was a bit moody and Susie Amy is a bit of a chain smoker. Martine is beautiful though- really stunning in real life.

We went back down to the beach and the producers actually asked my missus to be an extra- they didnt pay her or anything but she loved it although it was standing around for about an hour and a half.

Wonder why they didnt ask me.....????

Ellen McCarthur lives near me so I see her out and about quite often.

Played golf with Stubbsy, Derek Mountfield and a few times with Brian Labone (RIP) with whom I also enjoyed the odd pint. I appeared in Charriots of Fire, as an extra of course, we saw most of the stars who were totally knackered doing all that running.

Supped with Ken Dodd, Tom O'Connor and the best comedian I ever saw Eddie Flannagan (RIP)

Politicians, Cyril Smith, Frank Field, John Prescott (who talked down to everyone, tosser and a disgrace to the working class) and Austin Mitchell who is an A1 bloke.

Also met the Queen and his nibs, Phil the Greek

Are they a boy girl (I think they were actually a trio but one was ill) jazz/funk type combo Foz, I'm sure a group by that name backed Quo on tour a couple of years ago
