For anyone familar with the NFL, in a couple classes in High School I sat behind Charlie Batch. He was the former starting QB for the Detroit Lions and current backup for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Good guy, spends the offseason in Homestead, PA (suburb of Pittsburgh, my hometown) running a rec league for 8-12 yr. old kids and spent a good chunk of his money fixing up decrepit parks in Homestead.

Saw Pete Doherty who was having a fight right outside my office window in broad daylight with his entourage, namely a skinny huge-afro-haired bloke with no top on, and, I think a Paparrazi!

Wondered where he'd went.

Rook's reminds me of mine.

I had a few classes in college with Colin Montgomerie. He was at my school on a golf scholarship.

Sadly he'll go down in history as the best ever never to win a major, misunderstood by many, brilliant golfer in his prime, oh yes his nick name, Monty   (y)

Have seen loads of sportsmen after events to get autographs but that doesn't really count does it? :P

Saw Trevor Bayliss (inventor of the clockwork radio or something) and Kate Humble filming some documentary at the Science museum. They were both really friendly and we had a good chat with them.

Ate lunch at the Magpie fish and chip restaurant (Whitby) 2 tables away from Massimo Maccarone and Gianluca Festa in their Middlesbrough days.

Saw Justin Hawkins from The Darkness at Rockingham race circuit. The Darkness were sponsoring one of the teams for the race. We were stood on top of the pit garages and he walked past below. My mum shouted "Justin" really loud and he stopped and waved so my Dad could take a photo

That's all I can remember for now!

Me and Rory (from They Think its all Over) are really close*, best mates and all that.

* Close = sorted out a good seat for him in a foreign airport once. Talked about Duncan Ferguson for five minutes.
