Celtic make Lennon permanent manager

good decision by him and the club. 1 year contract everyones a winner.

Says it all though: 1 year contract. That's not much faith being shown. I hope he does well because he's had to put up with some [Poor language removed] in his career. But a handful of bad results and he'll be out by Christmas. If I was Lennon I wouldn't trust that snide, war-monger John Reid as fas as I could throw him.

Yeah, but there taking a punt on him if he does the job i m sure he will get a good contract next year.

Lennon is the best man for the job, its a slap in the face that they have made the fans wait so long....

They complain that season book sales are low but yet they wouldnt appoint a manager......anyway, Lennon....best man for the job, Celtic to the core and he will make us a force again! Hes someone the fans will want to support, someone the players will want to play for and he also hates the manky mob the same as the fans do!

Loved his interview aswell, " I will make my players go to war every game "
as apposed to Mowbrays "Were just going to have to take it on the chin "

Get in!!
Sounds like Maradona coaching Argentina, if he is as tactically inept as Diego Armando is.

He looked like he was out of his depth in that Scottish Cup semi against the might of Ross County, mate. I understand where you're coming from. But Alan Ball was a big Evertonian, and I wouldn't have wanted him as a manager! Good luck to him, he's going to need it, imo.

Ross county was no fault of lennons, I was at the game and you could just see that not a single one of them were up for it, Lennon came out in his after match interview and absolutley slated them.....giving out names and everything, which is something ive never seen before.

Bar that game, he has done more than enough to prove he is the man for the job, he has been floating about for the last 3 seasons at celtic starting as reserve coach - 1st team coach - reserve coach - caretaker manager and now manager.

When tommy burns (r.i.p) became ill Lennon stepped in to help Strachan, think we were 5 points behind rangers, 7 games left and had played 2 games more.......Lennon inspired us to go on a 7 game unbeaten run including 2 pumpings of the monkeys.

He went back to reserve team managing and the advantage of that is he will know all the young lads like the back of his hand, when he was caretaker he wiped out the duds (Samaras, Loovens, Braffheid) and replaced them with some of his reserve/under 19 players and they have shown alot of promise!

So its not really a Lennon is a fans man thing, he has the experience and the know about the club and he, imo, defo has what it takes to take us to the top again

He has took reid for the **** that he is, he was showing him who is boss in his 1st interview!

When have you ever seen a manager, in his opening interview publicly say.....while in presance of the chairman........"I want Keane, Bellamy, Campbell, Ledley and Bullard" No noncence! :D

Maybe he is the right man for the job. Sometimes good number twos dont cut it as manager. Time will tell I suppose. I hope he does it and puts Smith into retirement once and for all.

As for money: Celtic are even worse than Everton for prising open the biscuit tin and backing managers. Unless there's a takeover at Celtic I think Lennon might struggle to get those type of demands on the board through. Probably sell to buy?

Note how Moyes is the only one with the natural hip thrust, the very first thing you learn as a model. He's got it goin' awn.

DM was clearly doing the camera.

Just look at the goalie standing in front of DM. Is he avoiding DM or is he taking the other goalie on?

There will be money but no doubt there will be a sell to buy mentallity, Mowbray spunked away £12 mil last season so it will have hit us hard.

Think McGeady will be off £8mil+..............paired with the fact that there NEEDS to be a dramatic facelift on and off the pitch.

I have already heard that he's off to Athletico Madrid.
