I am having hard time understanding some of the points made here.

1. I am posting stuff just like any other member, to add some perspective about cenk, which you normally dont know about much.

2. you keep saying that cenk is not proven but what do you need exactly to count someone reliable? the guy scores in CL and for the national team. it is not his fault that national team is not qualified and he cant be blamed for the overall quality of the league. just like he is not the only reason besiktas is now in last 16 this year after very succesfull campaings in european cups. lets get that straight. you will not get a quality striker proved himself in top leagues below 50m pounds. nobody in the world is going to give up players to premier league team without adding up some extra price.

3. I am sorry to say that, and please dont take it offensive but cenk is playing a pivotal role on a team a whole lot better than everton. besiktas would easily finish PL 5th and it is staying on 4th in turkish league right now. no way we compare the cream tops of those leagues but I am just trying to challenge the bad league argument. again, dont take it offensive. all ball clubs have good times and bad times and besiktas had the worst some time ago.

My friend has a point

A lot of Everton fans are refering to the difficulty of PL and importance of pace.

Have a match with Napoli or Leipzig and see what pace is...

Mate the fee is nowhere near £50m so that's a strange example. Obviously everything is within reason but if this guy is the absolute best guy out there for us then why would the fee get in the way? If we want this guy above anyone else then you pay what his club is asking for.

If it's true that there valuation has gone up £2m then why are we considering pulling the plug and moving on to a target that we originally deemed not as good as Tosun?

Because we can't keep allowing clubs to do this.

Cenk Tosun played in u20 and u21 german national team how come he wasnt established in Germany. He have offers from leipzig ( 2nd place holder in german league ). He is a Turkish/german player who declared he feels Turkish at several occasions, who recently made a tweet about his hometown soccer team being shutdown.

Turkish league is among top 7 european leagues in worth in money.
The worth is a subjective thing.
How can you compare worth in money if the same brand cigar costs twice as much in England compared to Turkey.
EPL is a great league, if BJK was in EPL with same staff player and facilities every single of our players and the club value would be twice higher.

Moreover Cenk Tosun plays in a team that has been ranked in top 40 ( 23rd currently ) for the last 5 years. Which is 50 spots higher then your your current rank even thou they play at a lower standart league.

You keep gloating about your leagues superiority if it is any of your doing. You have achieved nothing in past 20 years to add any value to your league. But we have.
