Settling into a new country, city ,league, club and squad of teammates where you are not using your first or maybe even second language and when the team you are moving to is having a bad time according to some is of little significance for a player when most of those making the argument probably never go past their local pub at the weekend, go for a week or two on holidays to a sun resort and then eat English food while there and drink in English pubs with other English people. Stereotyping at it's worst probably but footballers are not machines and some take longer to settle than others and if coming from a country where the food and customs are very different then the transition is more difficult.

Let the player settle for a while before judging.

i don't get this struggling with the pace thing. I could understand it if he or Klaasan had played half a dozen games and looked out of their depth but Klaasan hasn't featured since Sept and Tosun started brightly against Spurs, but has hardly been seen since. How would we know if he's struggling with the pace?
Niasse has scored and played well so why doesn't the fat one just come out and say Tosun isn't starting because you know what, since we signed him Niasse has really upped his game and made that striker role his own and that's what we want - players pushing eachother for those 11 starting roles. Instead he tells the world and anyone who'll listen that Cenk isn't good enough at the moment. if the lad is struggling hearing your manager say that isn't going to motivate you is it.

Hopefully Cenk Tosh is the final nail in yewtree Steve’s coffin.

Send him back to that third rate division, he’ll leave as a hero for seeing the bald PE teacher out the door.

Deflection tactics so that he doesn't have to admit that Cenk is crap, and thus admit that their league is championship level at best.

In our league only 1 team is in CL level and that is besiktas. With CL level I don't mean bayern or madrid level but better than many middle class CL teams. And even turkish league is crap, It don't mean besiktas is not playing high level football and unable to beat many middle class teams in EPL also.
What I wanted to say is If you don't support all the mistakes Sam did in last 5 games, weird line-up choices, the meaningless flee from responsibility when gets beaten in games, you must not embrace instantly his comments about cenk.
Because I know he will be successful in everton when the tactics are not aimed to get a draw from games. "Turks" just want the success of everton and cenk. I'm not here to support cenk without an argument. If he plays crap and be crap in everton, I will hardly critisize him. But most of you go hard on him without any propoer argument and I think he don't deserve it.

I`m normally amongst the first to pass judgement, but I would like to see more of him before I make a decision.

Maybe he was bemused by the hoofball tactics in training and dared to suggest playing footy on the ground, to players strengths and is now being put in his place for not towing the line.

I've got to laugh at all of the hoo-ha going on over this guy.

If anything, the current situation will actually benefit him in the long run. With Niasse currently our form striker it means that we don't have to keep tosun him in at the deep end. He'll get opportunities to get some Premier League minutes under his belt in due time, Allardyce even said not long after we bought him that he didn't expect him to hit the ground running.. just 'hoped' that he would. This way we can actually take our time with him as we're in no desperate need for goals.

He can still be given some game time mate. We were 3-0 up Saturday, controlling the game comfortably, and before Gana got injured Allardyce was planning to bring on Bolaise, he could have easily given Tosun a run out.

Also, got to remember, this lad was playing champions league footy not that long ago (and supposedly impressive) and according to Allardyce, for the money he was one of the best in Europe, but for some reason he can't get any game time with us because he's 'not ready' It makes me wonder if we had actually watched him before we paid the £27m!
