Still think we don't provide for him enough. It's fine if we're scoring regardless, but we actually need our strikers to net on the regular. He gets bypassed a lot and I can imagine that it frustrates him.

If we win it doesn't really matter who scores tbh.

In all fairness, it is very difficult to provide for a player like him. He isn't lightning quick and he's not going to thrive on crosses into the box. With a lot of strikers people say they suffer from a lack of service but most of the time it is them struggling to get into goal scoring positions.

Sticks out like a sore thumb and isn't quick enough to play in Silva's formation. Richarlison, walcott and someone like a rashford/ batsuayi through the middle may have seen us snatch 4th place.

We don't need someone to hold up the ball, we need someone to get the ball, turn the defender and run towards goal.

He works hard, but would suit someone like newcastle.

Rashford is proper tosh.

Tosun will score more goals than both the players you mentioned.

Cenk may not be scoring as many goals as we like but he plays a key roll.

v Wolves: Layed it off for Richarlison to score
v Southampton: Drags defenders back to give Richarlison more room on his goal.

He is a great team player and more of a box striker, that ball drops to him in the box and 90% of the time it goes in. But he also does great link up play and works hard.

Seems to have a great relationship with both Walcott and Richarlison, also Siggurdson, so while we're still scoring goals, seeing nice football and men in the box, why switch [Poor language removed] up?

Makes space and works hard. A bit disappointed by his decision making though. The shot he had last week when he should have played in Walcott and then yesterday he made a few mistakes by attempting to give it to the wrong person, one stands out when he tried to give it to walcott who had two defenders around him instead of Siggy who was open to his left.

Goals will come, as we are creating loads at the minute but he just needs some better decision making.

No of cause not, because that worked last season for us?!! We need a platform to build and sometimes we need to go direct.

We have wings on either side that can turn defenders and run towards the goal. We absolutely need someone to hold up the ball, or at least make runs to open up space for others.

Since when does Silva employ a quick center forward?

Thought he played well. He’s always going to have Walcott, Richarlison, Bernard, Gylfi buzzing around him he will get goals. I do think he does a lot of the ugly stuff of the ball that helps create chances.

Thought he played well yesterday but was he at fault for the Ings goal? I don’t want to play the blame game but the zonal marking system Silva has adopted has attracted a lot of criticism by pundits and many on here however Ings would have been a good 2 yards offside if Cenk had continued his intended run, rather than checking it when the corner was taken. Is it maybe this is just something that needs drilling in training? Maybe Cenk will have less of a defensive role when the likes of Mina and Zouma are fit? It was mentioned in commentary yesterday that we were bringing everyone back at set-pieces.
